Garmin developed BlueChart map data earlier this year and currently offers the cartography on micro-cards for its new line of fixed-mount chartplotters. Now the company will offer mariners offshore coverage in three CD selections — for regions in the Americas, Pacific and Atlantic. The Americas CD includes the East and West coasts of the U.S., the Great Lakes, Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii. BlueChart coverage for the Pacific includes Australia and New Zealand. The Atlantic CD includes the coastlines of Western Europe, North Sea, Mediterranean Sea, Adriatic Sea, Aegean Sea, Black Sea and Baltic Sea.

MapSource BlueChart contains:

• Detailed electronic nautical charts for several predefined regions in the specified area — select the offshore region of your choice
• Shows shaded depth contours and intertidal zones with spot soundings
• Provides navaids with view range and coverage
• Includes chart information such as chart name, number, scale, revision date and latest
• Notice to Mariners date
• Displays wrecks, restricted areas, cable areas, anchorages, shoals and spoilage

With the purchase of the BlueChart CD you will receive the CD with one unlock code. You do not have to tell us what chart area you want. Additional unlock codes are available and they are found in the accessories below.

When you get the CD, Follow these step-by-step instructions:

1. Launch MapSource.
2. Choose "Unlock Codes..." from the "Tools" menu.
3. Press the "Add" button.
4. Enter the unlock code, either with or without dashes.
5. MapSource will then verify that the unlock code is valid and add it to its list.
